Global Development Agendas

This theme addresses the strategies to advance the UN Resolution, the role of drowning prevention within the development agenda, and encompasses papers that:

  • Explore the UN Resolution, and approaches to accelerating efforts
  • National Governments presenting achievements in alignment to the resolution
  • Outline initiatives and strategies to commemorate World Drowning Prevention Day
  • Explore partnerships and alignment with other development agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals, child and adolescent health and development, migration and refugee, urban health agendas
  • Explore partnerships and alignment with the International Olympic Committee sport for peace and development agenda, or equivalent
