Drowning Prevention Research and Policy Workshop (2-3 December 2023)

BOOKINGS NOW CLOSED.

About

The workshop topics will include drowning research priorities, behaviour change, cultural approaches to prevention and emerging leader’s workshop. Delegates will gather for the workshops at The Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle. Freo, as the locals call it, is a vibrant, bustling, dynamic port city about 30 minutes by car or train from Perth. We recommend that you plan to arrive on Friday 1st December and consider staying in Fremantle to maximise the opportunity to enjoy the retreat-like feel of networking with fellow delegates before the formal conference proceedings in Perth. After a day of thought-provoking workshops, a refuelling feast has been booked for dinner on Saturday night. Overlooking Fremantle’s Fishing Boat Harbour, Char Char Restaurant + Bar is one of Perth’s most awarded restaurants.  Relax with your fellow delegates and savour the panoramic views whilst enjoying the mouth-watering local flavours.
