Measuring and Mapping Drowning Burden
This theme encompasses research that analyses drowning burden, impacts and risk factors and informs prevention efforts. This theme might include papers that:
- Analyse fatal and non-fatal drowning data at global, national and community levels
- Identify strategies to strengthen systems and novel approaches to drowning data collection
- Analyse and address contributing factors to drowning including exposure and vulnerabilities
- Analyse and address determinants of drowning risk, including social, cultural, commercial and economic
- Address knowledge gaps in drowning epidemiology
- Explore the socio-economic impact of drowning
